It would seem from my research that this was a known issue resolved in a later version of jsreport (4.x) than what is currently available via jsreportonline - In the "About" dialog I see this:

jsreportonline version: 3.13.2
jsreport version: 3.13.0

Is there any intention to upgrade jsreportonline to a later version anytime soon and if not, what optiions do I have to render my html lists correctly in DOCX recipes?

The problem is the turbulent chrome changes. We can't simply update without affecting existing users' layouts. We are not sure how we will get through this yet, but internal discussions are ongoing.

If you need later fixes now, you'd better switch to the on-prem version.
