Electron-pdf (or any other) pdf link to image

I want to be able to have an image in my pdf, with a link to a non-thumbnail version. wkhtml supports it, but on a big pdf it is just too slow I get errors on the hosted version. electron-pdf works great, but whenever it has a link, it puts the url on the pdf, which looks ridiculous!
Notice the cnn.com which is the link, with code like:
<a href="http://cnn.com"><img src=' + photo.url + '></img></a>
Is there a good solution for linkable images?

There is likely not much we can do since the actual problem is in the thirdparty library.
However can you give us the playground with replicated problem? Because I don't see any url in herehttps://playground.jsreport.net/studio/workspace/rk33yyVMZ/2
