Multiple Report Outputs - HTML & chrome-image

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a similar question after a quick search.

I'm interested in generating a report to email off as a chrome image (to avoid email client CSS issues) and then generate a full HTML version to save onto the server for more in-depth viewing (I'd add a link to it in the email).

I presume this could be done via a script addon, but ideally I don't really want to generate the report twice. Any pointers as to how this could be done?

i.e. you'd generate the html version and then ideally pass that HTML to a method that would generate the image. I'm guessing its not that easy!?
