Comparision of xlsx and html-to-xlsx recipes

can you please share your experience what are differences between those two recipes.
What are advantages and disadvantages for both of them.

xlsx is faster and more powerful, hard to master and understand the openxml excel format
html-to-xlsx is slower and limited, easy to use without openxml knowledge
