Any plans to allow writing to a Google Sheets similar to an excel file? Or what about a Google Docs file instead of Word? Would be very popular.

Like, be able to generate a report in either Google sheets or Google docs

Google Docs is just a service for working with docx, odt files.
jsreport can produce xlsx or docx files that you can open in the Google Docs.
Unfortunately still don't understand what you request.
