jsreport 3 beta is released
-
Hi all!
After long 9 months, we can share with you the next major release of jsreport.
It is marked as beta so far, but we would be very grateful if you take a look and give us some feedback. You can look forward the brand new profiler, new components extension and much more. I described all details in the blog post. You can find there also new installation instructions.
https://jsreport.net/blog/jsreport-v3-beta-releasedThe docker images are also ready
docker run -p 5488:5488 jsreport/jsreport:3.0.0-beta.2
The playground already runs the jsreport 3 beta, so you can take a look even without installation.
https://playground.jsreport.netWe will now need some time to stabilize everything and prepare migration scripts. We don't have any estimations about when we remove the beta mark and release the final version. Please be patient.

Wow, this seems like a really nice release. When do you think you'll release it to production? (edit: never mind.. I'll be patient =)
- Components! I can't wait to use them. We have a quite intricate setup with child report, which really are "components"
- Better async handling. I'm hoping for better async handling now whe you have reworked child templates.
- Better performance! Always wecome.
- Profiler.. will be great for digging out bottlenecks
