Is it possible to pass querystring parameters to templates?
This would greatly simplify the development of templates because we would not need to code a call to the JSreport template in Javascript.

I will gladly beta test if you need it. your product has great potential.

I solved the problem :-)

The function i was referring to was dependent on Jquery for ajax calls, i was not waiting for the document to be ready within the phantomJS context.
I wrapped the code in a document ready callback, as such:

$(document).ready(function(){
//function declaration here

//function execution here

});

Now phantomJS sees the javascript as well as the jquery code.
I tried having multiple document ready callbacks to cleanup the code, but that did not work because of what I assume is some sort of race condition between script loading. We have to remember that phantomJS bahaves as a rudimentary browser.

where ExecuteReport is in a script tag in the body and is seen fine by the html recipe

When using PhantomPDF, my html has a script tag with a function in it, the phantomJS engine is unable to see the function that is clearly vailable to html.
However it does not seem to have a problem with javascrip that has been linked by URL.

Does phantomPDF not support inline javascript within the template?

ok i understand, so simple items like a string can be passed, but referencing the entire object does not correct?

how hard would it be to do this for the child-templates? Can i write my own extension for this?

anytime I try to execute a child_template by passing it data
{#child someSubReport @data.SessionID={{ this.SessionID }} @data.ClientID={{ this.ClientID }} @data.Query={{{ this.Query}}} }
it either simply prints the text as seen above or crashes by not sending the right info.

How does the community handle the dev process on jsReports?
It is a great tool but it can also cause problems if a production template/script is edited in real time.
I would like to get an idea of how the rest of the community handles the deployment process.

I am considering a dev, staging and production jsreport servers with import export process between each, but i am not sure if this is the best way.
