Increasing workers.numberOfWorkers will allow you to render more reports in parallel. It doesn't help with performance of single report alone.

Could you share the template and the data causing the error?

There is no way to automatically collect and propagate all the entities the template uses.

You can either give the new user permission to read all entities.
Or give him permission to read a particular folder, which includes the template and all the entities it eventually uses.

You can create your own proxy server that will translate such calls to jsreport.
I believe this isn't something jsreport should handle.

So basically if I mark a server with development true, it will be identified as a dev instance and I can host this on services like AWS for use in my dev team?

Because we have a QA environment and a dev environment only accessed by our team, I wish to use it independently here without restrictions.

Yes, you can have as many as you want of these environments. Just mark it as development.

Yes, you can create a user in the studio, you just need to give him permissions so he can see the assets and other entities he wants to use.

You can also login with the custom user to the studio, and verify the permissions are correct.
