  There is no configuration needed. When you see this line in the jsreport output:

  2021-01-19T19:20:05.969Z - info: jsreport server successfully started on http port: 5488

  jsreport is running on port 5488 and normally listen as any other service on the particular port.

  I see you are likely calling the window.print in the pain page, but you want to print the element where is the report displayed. I don't know angular or mat-dialog, you may get better help on other forums because this isn't related to jsreport. You get a buffer or stream from jsreport with pdf representation. You are able to display it. You display it for example in a specific iframe. Then you want to call the print on the particular iframe. In other cases, there can be other approaches to print but relates to the specific aspects of how you display it.

  Can't figure out what to do with the base64 encoded data. Found this related thread, and I have tried the same actions, but I get the same result as that user. Any suggestions on how to get the pdf from this base64 encoded format to a downloadable PDF?

  Hi, thank you for your interest in jsreport.

  Unfortunately, the "client app" feature was removed a long time ago. The deep dive video isn't very up to date.
  If you need some kind of client portal, I think it is best to create it as a separate application using your technologies. Such a portal would just communicate with jsreport in the background.

  I need to do something similar, but I get an excel error when I try to insert the row.

  I'm using <row r="">

  For example using the screenshot @Genhan-Chen provided, if I add the row to position 19 or above(20, 21, 22 etc), it will work, but when I try to add row to anything below it, the excel file shows an error and there is no data. Doesn't matter what row, I can try to add row to position 4 or 5 for example which are empty, I still get the error, and excel file opens with no data in it.

  The pdfFormField is a handlebars helper, so you need to proceed in the same way as when calling other helpers.

  Filling attribute value from context using path

  You shouldn't put the path to the brackets {{}} when filling helpers parameter. It should look like value=myData

  The windows event viewer shows:
  "Failed to start service jsreport-server. Program node couldn't be launched. CreateProcess() failed: Not enough memory resources are available to process this command."

  And some other processes running on that computer is takeing 100% of memory so that seems correct. Might have to add a delay on the retries. For instance try to restart the service every x minutes for the next x hours.

  If added this function down to the template (html one) and then everything ok.

  @Paul-Hepple yes, the example above uses the base64 data URI in the data as the input, the same example also works if you give it an URL to an image, if you don't get it to work with the URL maybe is because the server which is hosting the image is not correctly serving it

  I haven't added retry logic in my end, so it seems strange that jsreport tries to render the pdf repeatedly.

  Are you sure about this? I see thousands of external calls to your account in our load balancer logs.
  Like a few thousand per minute. This is very likely coming from your client.

  This is very hard to troubleshoot and it will need some work to isolate the problem.
  Could you try to extract the minimal part of the code from your template to a new one?
  Write some kind of script to render multiple reports from this template and see if it has still the error behavior.
  And if you get to this, share the template with us so we can take a look?
