  Complexity is meant as it's common in software coding.
  If you have a big function in code, you typically decompose it into several smaller functions.
  The same applies to jsreport templates. If you have a lot of code in the template, you can decompose the template into several smaller components.

  it is likely some of your xlsx transformations is causing this. you can try to comment some parts and try again until you get a not corrupted xlsx, you will be able to identify which xlsx helper call is causing that problem and probably be able to adapt it and fix it.

  You can implement a custom helper, that will check the existence of the remote image and fall-back into a custom image if it cannot reach it.

  Update: This is actually really a bug. It is likely a nodejs bug that started to occur since nodejs 16.

  I have installed localy and I am making some new tests. How could I change the xlsx.maxRows and xlsx.bufferSize? I am getting an error if the json is too big. with 15000 rows now works but with 20000 no.

  It seems you should use kubernetes volumes and mount it from the host to the pod jsreportapp/data path.

We do indeed feed data to our reports dynamically and render from a script, but I'm always curious about options and other opportunities, so I may mess around with the browser-based method as well.   Going to send you the data.json file via email

  One weird thing that I noticed: this report without images is 1.9Mb and with images is 80Mb
  But all the images together are around 3Mb

  I send those images as s3 signed urls and jsreport download them, idk if something happens on the render that makes this pdf so much bigger

  Just FYI, my SaaS solution is basically checklists that the user can create and later generate reports about it
