Hi @jan_blaha thanks for all the things you've done. I used these concepts to solve my task. I used this to solve my queries: displayHeaderFooter
headerTemplate, footerTemplate
hmm i don't know also, this is hard because there is no way to detect the cells that are going to be on next page, so it is not possible to style cells differently, you usually want to ensure same style across pages
Maybe you can share a demo so we can take a quick look if something can be improved. We can't speed up the chrome of course, but sometimes there are some styles optimizations for example.
Maybe this can be made clearer in the docs. Since an in-place upgrade is explicitly discouraged, I got the impression that the reports also cannot just be copied over to a new server.

Excel cannot open the file ****.xlsx because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file.
Unfortunately, it isn't possible to create what you want using each inside the excel. The merged cells across multiple rows aren't supported so far. We have it in backlog, so I give it a higher priority. However we won't be able to get to it during the next few weeks. https://github.com/jsreport/jsreport/issues/1022
I've tried the idea with the second render.
In the first render, I add an empty tfoot which will just hold the space.
In the second render I won't add tfoot, but instead, add an extra plain row with a calculated sum value.
After trying several things I was able to solve the problem by restarting the JSReport service, I document this in case someone else has the same problem it may help
