That’s a frustrating one, especially when it seems like the footer calculation is just slightly off. Have you tried wrapping the footer content in a fixed-height container or adjusting the marginTop and marginBottom in your Chrome-PDF recipe?
Sometimes Chrome’s rendering engine gets a bit confused with page-break logic if the footer content is too close to the edge. Shrinking the footer font or slightly increasing the bottom margin usually clears up those weird overflows.

What a dumb thing. Just defining styles doesn't matter until they are used in the sheet.
If i create a row with rubbish data and apply these styles and then use the template in jsreport then it works.

My bad. I have to pick a column before which had the title. so c[0] worked.

hmmm.... my theory is that same information provided twice broke it.
Earlier I was sending arrays as part of data and fetching the same in the script too in beforeRender()
and now as it was oversight at my part (twice fetching) and things were broken :-) , I don't send them as part of data and let script fetch it then it works

OR data property doesn't like array.
Template is simple, loops on transactions and add rows.

HI Jan, thanks for your reply. I removed folderId from the config of all these outside files and then they fall in right folders. Some config files had both entitySet and folderId but not all of them ...so no consistent pattern there.

Answering your questions:

Do you use the default filesystem store? -- Yes

Do the entities go outside the folders also physically there? --- No.

If not, would you be able to compress data folder and email it to me without confidential entities? --- I don't have bad data folder now as after removing folderId from those files they don't spill out anymore. Otherwise version 2.6.0 seems good.

After spending some more time on this, I think it was a matter of syching up a number of new files created by the update to 2.6.1. I didn't have all of those checked in, because I didn't realize they were part of the update. So far, things are looking better.

Hi Jan, On using the beta, the footer fails to identify items.

I've just tested it and it works for me. You can access the first item on page like this for example.

and mergeWholeDocuments, doesn't work on Landscape documents.

Works for me as well. Do you have both header and main template configured to be landscape?

I uploaded here export with an example. I see 10x speed improvement on 20 pages.

I found Jan that <span> with style or class for text-align doesn't work but if I change to <div align="center"> or table td align="center" then it aligns.
In short, text-align bad, align good.

The studio makes the request using html form submit. The payload is in this case much bigger. So that is why you get the error just there.

No afterRender function but I am merging 3 other templates with it.
It got resolved in a weird way. If I run npm install and build-deploy all from command prompt rather than jetBrains IDE, it worked and no more timeout errors.

If you include the pdf with just object tag and no embed within then you see the styles as I have put in my original post and I think that is my problem. I have pdf included using just object tag. If I change to embed tag then the fonts are good. Thanks for answering me.

Even if landscape checkbox is checked, the pdfOperations fails.
In my situation, I have 14 templates for a feature and when I show as a Preview in my application, I want to add sample watermark to them.
and when user is ready, i want to merge all these 14 templates as ONE pdf with no watermark.

I found that by using display header/footer, I can show page numbers and the document title nicely but then sample watermark doesn't show properly (shows on last page only).

If I go all pdfOperations to merge footers and I create footer templates, how can I show page numbers and title.

hi!, it is not possible right now to add interactive form fields into a pdf (see here for a more detailed answer), but maybe in future it will be possible using PDF javascript api (it needs an investigation), you can track a relevant issue about that here

Oooooooh... I am so blind. The margins at the template level. I was adding chrome margin to the jsreport.config.json file.
