  You need to write a custom helper.

  Yes, It takes only few milli seconds to get the response locally. But While running with api gateway url it takes almost 17s and more .

  The jsreport 3.2.0 now fixed the background error from the console. However, blocking "pop-ups" is common browsers behavior that needs to be enabled by the user for the particular page.

  You may rather want to use the sync openInNewWindow function that works more like in v2. Please read about this here

  When running on the subpath, you need to set the following config

  const jsreport = require('./')({ appPath: '/jsreportapp' })

  When I render the template and use log statements, it executes successfully.

  This means you see in the jsreport container output that report finished, but you see failure on the client side?
  What if you just use some kind of postman/advanced rest client to invoke report rendering through API, this works?
  I've never used openresty so not sure if there can be a problem with it.
